(Reuters) -Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to appoint a new national security adviser, replacing Tzachi Hanegbi.
Netanyahu will appoint deputy head of the National Security Council, Gil Reich, as acting head of the council, his office said in a statement.
"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanks Tzachi Hanegbi for his service as head of the National Security Council for the past 3 years, and wishes him great success in his future endeavors and good health," it added.
