South Korea president says Japan-China dispute not desirable for regional peace

SEOUL, ​Jan 12 (Reuters) - South Korean President Lee ⁠Jae Myung said that a ‍dispute between China ​and Japan was not desirable for regional ​peace, adding that Seoul would not meddle in the ‌ongoing row.

His comments ‌were made during an ​interview with Japanese broadcaster NHK ‌aired on Monday, ⁠a day before ‌his ​planned summit with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae ⁠Takaichi.
