WHO chief heads to Congo amid surging Ebola cases

GENEVA, ‌May 28 (Reuters) - ​The World Health Organization ⁠chief said on Thursday he ​was on his ‌way to the Democratic Republic of ⁠Congo where ⁠an Ebola outbreak is outpacing the world's ability ‌to respond. 

"16 times, ⁠this ‌country has ​defeated Ebola. The 17th will ‌be no ​different. ⁠But we must act ‌now, ⁠together," said WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom ​Ghebreyesus ‌on X.
