Lula, Flavio Bolsonaro tied in Brazil’s election runoff, Quaest poll shows

SAO PAULO, ‌Sept 7 (Reuters) - Brazilian ​leftist President Luiz Inacio Lula ⁠da Silva and right-wing challenger Senator Flavio Bolsonaro ​are tied in a ‌potential second-round runoff in October's election, a Quaest poll commissioned ⁠by Globo showed ⁠on Monday.

In a simulated runoff, Lula would win 41% of the vote ‌against 41% for the ⁠eldest son of ‌former President ​Jair Bolsonaro. A Quaest poll released on September 2 ‌had Lula leading ​Bolsonaro ⁠42% to 41%.

Quaest surveyed ‌2,004 people ⁠between September 3-6. The poll has a margin of ​error of ‌2 percentage points.
