Denmark’s Queen Margrethe admitted to hospital

COPENHAGEN, ‌May 14 (Reuters) - ​Denmark's Queen Margrethe, 86, ⁠was admitted to hospital due to ​angina on Thursday, ‌the royal court said. 

"Her Majesty is ⁠tired, but ⁠in good spirits," the court said in ‌a statement. 

The queen, ⁠who abdicated ‌in ​2024 and passed the throne to ‌her firstborn ​son ⁠Frederik, will remain ‌hospitalised ⁠over the weekend for observation and ​further ‌examinations, it added.
