WASHINGTON, ‌Feb 24 (Reuters) - The ​Trump administration wants ⁠stable relations with China but does ​not trust the ‌country, a senior State Department official said ⁠at ⁠a congressional hearing on Tuesday.

Jacob Helberg, Under Secretary ‌of State for Economic ⁠Affairs, ‌made his ​remarks ahead of a visit by ‌U.S. President ​Donald ⁠Trump to China in ‌the ⁠coming weeks where he will meet ​with Chinese ‌President Xi Jinping.
