Pakistan High Commission London Hosts Islamic Calligraphy Exhibition by Young Pakistani Artist Ayesha Kamal

The High Commission of Pakistan in London hosted an Islamic Calligraphy Exhibition and interactive session featuring young contemporary Pakistani artist Ms. Ayesha Kamal. The event was organized in collaboration with ISP Events and the Forum for International Relations Development (FIRD).

The exhibition attracted a diverse audience, including a British parliamentarian, members of the British-Pakistani community, media representatives, and officers of the High Commission.

Speaking on the occasion, Acting High Commissioner Mr. Haseeb bin Aziz praised Ms. Kamal’s artistic talent and her unique portrayal of Quranic verses through Islamic calligraphy. He commended her efforts in promoting Islamic culture and heritage internationally and appreciated the support of the Pakistani diaspora in encouraging young Pakistani artists to showcase their work abroad.

An interactive session followed the exhibition and was moderated by CEO of ISP Events, Mr. Faisal Shaukat. The discussion focused on the artist’s inspiration and motivation behind her calligraphy, the creative process involved in visualizing and painting her works, and the significance of presenting the richness of Islamic art and culture to international audiences.

Ms. Ayesha Kamal expressed her gratitude to the Pakistan High Commission in London for facilitating her first-ever exhibition in the United Kingdom. She also thanked attendees for their enthusiastic participation and keen interest in her artwork.

The event highlighted the growing role of cultural diplomacy in strengthening people-to-people connections and promoting Pakistan’s rich artistic and Islamic heritage on the global stage.
